Remembering Reggie

Tonight Reggie White, the NFL's all-time greatest defensive lineman who passed away one year ago this week at the age of 43 of sudden cardiac arrest, is having his jersey number retired in Philadelphia at a halftime ceremony during the Monday Night Football game against Seattle.

Why is the Madzionist writing about this? Well, it's not simply because I'm a huge football fan, which I am, but, more importantly, because of who Reggie White the man was. Reggie, you see, was a very relgious man who searched for truth and lived his life as a true servant of God.

In the last few years of his life, Reggie, who was a devoted minister since he was age 19, began a quest to learn the hebrew language and get closer to God. His mission for the true meaning of God's word took him to Israel where he spent countless hours studying the hebrew language to understand what the 5 books of Moses were really about in the original language source.

He also began observing Jewish holidays and renewed his marriage vows in hebrew wearing a tallis (Jewish prayer shall). Many in the secular and Christian communuity accused him of becoming a Jew, which he denied, but he certainly did embrace many aspects of Judaism and devoted the last year of life to learning Torah.

Read a brief summary of Reggie's quest for God, here.

Reggie might have been able to play football, but politically he was a total ass. He gave a speech to the congress a number of years ago mocking latin Americans for having too many kids and made many other racial slurs, too. As far as I'm concerned good riddance to that insensitive religious freak.

Why doesn't the right ever celebrate cerebral people who were compassionate like Ghandi, Eleanor Roosevelt, Peter Jennings, or even YAssir Arafat (who HAS a Nobel Prize) who wanted to HELP poor people and tried to make real differences, instead of using divisive, brain dead zealots spewing jock-speak??

I laugh in your intolerant, idiotic face, MZ, for ever admiring this bigotted simpleton.

PS. Ha! I snuck back in, you Nazi loser.

You are a sick, sick woman. Spitting on a black philanthropist's grave because he wasn't liberal enough for you? How despicable you and your leftist friends truly are.

I banned you once, you snuck back, and now you are banned once again. Don't play games, Dana, you are gone.

Do you want to talk about a need for one to go on a quest for God?

Dana actually is elated about sneaking back on to someones property who made it quit clear she no longer was welcome!

FORGIVE HER LORD!

Reggie simply had a bit too much manhood for Dana.
You see, leftwing oatmeal heads cant stand men that are men.
They want men that are women.
*shrug*

As for Reggie embracing some Hebrew traditions, that is becoming more and more common among the evangelist crowd - and even making a resurgence among some catholic circles.
We dont call Jews our "elder brothers in the faith" for nothing lol.
