According to the latest polls taken in New Judenrein Gaza, Hamas now has a commanding 45%-36% lead over Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah Party.

Unlike Fatah, Hamas has chosen many university teachers, physicians, pharmacists, lawyers, journalists and accountants as its representatives - a move that is being welcomed by many Palestinians, especially in the Gaza Strip, where the Islamic movement enjoys tremendous popularity.
A public opinion poll conducted by a Palestinian research center this week showed that nearly half of the residents of the Gaza Strip were planning to vote for Hamas in the parliamentary elections. The poll, which was held between November 29 and December 4, gave Hamas over 45 percent of the vote, while Fatah came in second with only 36%.
More than half of the 1,309 Palestinians who were covered by the poll said that they prefer to vote for religious candidates.
Now, notice how the moslems masquerading as "Palestinians" indicated that they widely want to elect more religious leaders. Anyone with even a fraction of their brain functioning can figure out that that means terrorist jihadis looking to exterminate Israel and the Jews.
What I find most remarkable is that Hamas is attracting the more educated, affluent candidates, which proves what a bogus lie the left is spreading about how poverty is the root cause of islamic terror. Obviously, islam is the root of islamic terror.
One only should have expected the creation of Hamastan in the wake of Sharon's grand capitulation, yet all signs are still pointing to a much greater expulsion slated for Judea and Samaria, which obviously will only serve to grow Hamas and Islamic Jihad's desire for a terrorist state to wipe out Israel.
Wake up, my brothers, before it's too late.

While we all can respect Israel's right to defend itself, don't the Palestinians deserve at least equal treatment in our eyes? Look at how they were occupied illegally by Israel for all those years, now you expect them not to reward the militants who made that freedom possible?
Look, I do think Hamas is often overly violent, but they had to be in order to drive out the occupying force that caged them up like animals at the zoo. The cycle of violence will end when Israel respects the Palestinians rights as much as their own.
I totally agree with you, Leftisright, and would even go so far as to say Israel has less of a right to exist than the native Palestinians. It is generosity on the part of enlightened people like you and I that we even give Israel the benefit of that doubt.
Talk about being ungrateful, though. We allow them to invent a country at another people's expense out of the kindness of our hearts because of the Holocaust, and they shove that good will right out the door with militarism and torture of a native people.
Israel/Palestine need to be one nation working together, and though I disagree with some of Hamas' methods, I must say that they are more justifiable in their misbehavior than Israel is in theirs.

Seeing the Holy Land under attack, with the Jews at total war with the muslims, I think both sides of the pond would get mighty agitated.
Maybe some civil strife, maybe even some border fights, but in the end Christians are the majority and would insist on the defense of Israel against our past oppressors.
Rhetoric aside, anyone with any actual grasp of history knows what life was like for our ancestors under the caliphates.
