Morgan Freeman: "Eliminate Black History Month"

Wow, a Hollywood celebrity actually worth praising! Morgan Freeman is fed up with the whole PC, "Black History Month" crap, and for that he deserves our applause.

This from WorldNetDaily:

NEW YORK -- Morgan Freeman says the concept of a month dedicated to black history is "ridiculous." "You're going to relegate my history to a month?" the 68-year-old actor says in an interview on CBS' "60 Minutes" to air Sunday (7 p.m. EST). "I don't want a black history month. Black history is American history."

Freeman notes there is no "white history month," and says the only way to get rid of racism is to "stop talking about it."

The actor says he believes the labels "black" and "white" are an obstacle to beating racism.

"I am going to stop calling you a white man and I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man," Freeman says.

Morgan nails it spot-on. He ought to sit down with Mondesire and company over at the NAACP and set their anglophobic asses straight, too.

Kuhnkat, you ruined it. I was just about to schedule "Jewish Men Under 5'9" With Blogs Who Don't Like Islam" Month.

Ahh...I guess that wouldn't have worked, anyway.

i love morgan freeman - i posted this at fpm last night. imagine the people of color will be calling him all sorts of names today.

when i've told another person of native american blood how i feel about the sad state of being an indian is - nanc catches hell. the look in their eyes says "how can you say that?" well, i'm not that kind of indian.

when i see people, that is who i see - people. special treatment implies one is special and should be reserved for loved ones or someone of great accomplishment.

the indians have not risen above their plight and continue to live in poverty; the blacks have not either. this shows me they revel in their misery. no desire to rise to the levels afforded us all.

kudos to mr. freeman for speaking his mind. hope he's ready to retire!

sorry for the late response, j. b., but i had to recover from your post before responding - i thought someone took over your big bad self! i could not be happier for you and your family. the most powerful force in life is having loved ones in our midst. you sound as though you are madly in love!

having had one emergency c-section and two natural births - i say c-section is the only way to go. i pray your wife recovers quickly.

my husband has not hunted much lately, as he prefers fishing. our children want to hunt so he takes them over the side of the hill for target practice. some friends of ours keep a deer blind on the s.e. corner of our property and when they come over, take our kidz with them.

we do set out a live trap once in awhile and have had the pleasure of having a baby skunk and a lame squirrel as pets for several days! of course there is always a cardinal or bluejay ready to be trapped in there also. my husband brings home turtles, snakes, tarantulas - he is the biggest kid of all! i can tell by your post you are one of the best papas.

it wasn't too long and i enjoyed it immensely and will refer to it often. keep us updated on the little guy.

JB I get some sideways looks for having internet friends but I dont care.
I've made some good ones.

I'm an online gamer (it aint just for kids anymore)and I've been playing for about 8yrs with a group of guys in our age group (youngest around 35 oldest around 60) and we have a great time.
We get to go out brawlin with the guys and stay home at the same time lol.
We play a huge-scale massively multiplayer combat game called Planetside. ( ttp://www.planetside.com ) with tanks, planes, infantry, you name it - and battles with hundreds of people in the same fight.
LOTS of military guys play it.

We use the Teamspeak program to talk (its like a walkie-talkie) and coordinate.
We've got some youngsters in the outfit (which is named Dogs of War), but we are the core and the commanders.

Anyhow, I can honestly say a cpl of my best friends are among them and I've only met 1 in person so far.

Funny how likeminded folks gravitate to each other even in cyberspace.

Btw, if any of you guys would like to try Planetside, let me know.
I can give you a 10day trial key and an installer to get the gme via patcher d/l.
I can invite you to our outfit and show ya the ropes too.
:}

p.s. takes a fairly strong computer.
