J. Whyatt Mondesire, who publishes a newspaper for blacks and is the president of the Philadelphia branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, recently wrote that the Eagles' star quarterback failed as a team leader and choked in the Super Bowl.
McNabb responded sharply, but Mondesire hasn't changed his stance.
"He doesn't get it," Mondesire said Wednesday. "If he got it, I wouldn't have written the article."
Mondesire, publisher of the Philadelphia Sunday Sun, criticized McNabb in a column in his newspaper on Dec. 4.
He wrote that McNabb's tendency to run the ball early in his career "not only confused defenses, it also thrilled Eagles fans," but that abandoning that element "by claiming that 'everybody expects black quarterbacks to scramble' not only amounts to a breach of faith but also belittles the real struggles of black athletes who've had to overcome real racial stereotypcasting in addition to downright segregation."
Unbelievable. More blacks need to be like T.O. and "keep it real" I guess. WTF. Disband this racist organization already.

He does not run as much as he once did because he is either 30, or damn near close to it. If he wants to see 31 in the NFL, he should stick to his game plan.
Scrambling QB types are an asset . Joe Montana, Steve Yong , Fran Tarkington and John Elway won plenty of games. Doug Williams was a dropback passer type the style matters more then race.
Bah. Michael Vick just made panicking in the pocket look good. One broken femur later and the only thing he's scrambling is eggs for breakfast.
There's no doubt that a quarterback that can run will be a more valuable player, but this comment is a statement of Black Supremacy.
How can anyone claim that by not scrambling it is an insult to pioneer black athletes who broke the color barrier? Something that happened about 50 years ago?
Mondesire is not fighting for equality he is fighting for supremacy.
You are right, Freedomnow. Actually, it is really more about urban black stereotype supremecy. Mondesire and his ilk believe that it is "acting white" to throw from the pocket, not trash talk, speak english instead of ebonics, dislike gangsta rap, get an education, get a job, be married, obey the law, by a house in the suburbs, etc.
The NAACP is only interested in advancing the anti-establishment criminal black culture, period. The worse off blacks are the better they like it, and for that they are truly the racists against black people in this country.
