Ynet News reports that last night Yassir Sharon suffered what doctors are calling a "mild stroke" after becoming disoriented and developing facial paralysis after a meeting with fellow leftwinger, Shimon Peres. This sudden development throws his future as Prime Minister very much into doubt, as even individuals of good health, much less obese geriatrics, often suffer some decline in their abilities following mild strokes.
Sharon's backers in his new leftwing party, Kadima, are beginning to fear the party itself will crumble with the news that Sharon has fallen into poor health. They are very concerned that the public will be reluctant to elect a man to the top spot who's faculties are very much in question, leaving the members of Kadima pondering their next political move.
While MZ does not wish bad health upon Sharon, he is hoping that this results in the Prime Minister losing his leadership post, as his radical swing to the left has imperiled the very existence of the Jewish State, and put the lives of millions of Israelis in jeopardy.
It is also interesting to note that Sharon was struck down just days after Newsweek reported on his intentions to begin massive territorial concessions to the moslems in Judea and Samaria, including even the division of Jerusalem.

i've learned we must watch what we say, madze. a couple of months ago my son's band teacher was being a regular richard cranium and had me so upset, i said something like, "G-d, please do what you will with that jerk!" well, that weekend while he was out on his riding lawnmower he ran over a ground hornet nest and was stung over 70 times and ended up in the hospital...
i am praying for sharon and my son's band teacher, and watching my mouth!
The Romans had a saying that they put into practise to help them conquer many of their enemies, "exhaustion makes cowards of all men."
They better keep their eyes on this sick, extremely overweight, 76 year old, perhaps, exhausted man!
I think you are onto something, Rightminded. Sharon's story is not unlike John Murtha's: a one time military tough guy who late in life became cowardly and weak as age took away his resolve.
I sure hope when I get close to the end I don't become like that.
Another quote from Vince Lombardi is appropriate in this context: "Fatigue makes cowards of us all."
"The day before his minor stroke, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon enjoyed a typical meal with family and friends. The menu included hamburgers, steak in chimichurri sauce, lamb chops, shish kebab and salads. For dessert, Sharon had chocolate cake - and then some more cake, the Israeli daily newspaper Maariv reported."
Now, if he doesn't even realize that this kind of eating will kill you, how are we to believe that he even realizes trying to mollify sons of mahound will kill you?????????????????
