The radical left is again trying to usurp the will of the American people in the abortion debate.
Despite what most agree to be a very reasonable and popular restriction to abortion on demand, parental notification law, which the overwhelming majority of Americans, even pro-choice Americans, statistically believe to be the right thing, our Supreme Court is being challenged by the ACLU and Planned Parenthood to overturn a lower courts ruling and allow minors to secretly abort without having their parents ever know about it.
How asinine is this? The big sticking point, it appears, is the absence of a clause for the health of the woman. Now, the liberals will try and tell you that it is moral for the health of the woman to be considered as necessary, while the right insists the life of the mother is the only acceptable exception to this law.
What the left is really doing, however, by using the health of the mother argument is trying to create a loophole for abortionists to continue giving unlimited abortions on demand by saying the mother is EMOTIONALLY unhealthy and granting a secretive abortion for birth control reasons. This fact is so thinly veiled it's transparent.
Unfortunately, Alito is still in limbo, so the court is stacked 5 libs to 4 conservatives. If the case goes on long enough it may be heard by Alito, but, if not, it will go over to the Ginsburg faction once again.
In related news, a woman in Hawaii has been completely exonerated by the liberal state supreme court for going on a crystal meth smoking binge - right up to the day of delivery - that directly killed her baby of an overdose shortly after being born. This is simply disgusting to even type, but the court actually came out and said the baby had NO rights because it was not considered HUMAN before delivery.
This is of course ridiculous. It is a high crime for a person to purposely injure a woman's fetus, but a woman can intentionally kill her nearly delivered full term baby and walk free?? What the hell is wrong with our world?
In Jewish law the fetus is considered a developing life which is recognized as having greater and greater human life as the pregnancy grows. It is a very serious crime to injure a pregnant woman's baby, whether self inflicted or otherwise. By the time the baby is at the day of delivery this is essentially full blown murder.
To most Christians, life is recognized as fully human at conception. It is therefore considered a total case of murder whether at month one, two or three, etc. Therefore, the only Americans who think this depraved woman should walk are the progressives. This is exactly why we must crush the leftwing courts, eradicate liberalism from our midst, and get back to having our courts protecting life not extinguishing it.
The left is just so immoral I honestly don't know how they can live with themselves.

From what I understand, studies have shown that the overwhelming vast, number of women who abort a child, regret it tremendously in later life.--Ergo, another fine mess the left has gotten these poor souls into!

The fact is a woman should have the right to terminate a pregnancy how she wants, when she wants, for whatever reason she wants. It is her business and her business only, and certainly not the business of a bunch of busy-bodies on the religious right.
Abortion helps keep the population in check, which benefits both the environment and the economy, as well as giving women the chance to have babies on their terms and for the right reasons.
Abortion is unfortunate, yes, but it is necessary and moral to let the woman who must carry the child do with her pregnancy whatever SHE sees fit. It is HER body, after all, not Jerry Falwell's.
The woman in Hawaii was obviously not prepared for motherhood, and while it is sad to think the baby dies, the woman is not wrong for doing what she wanted with her body.
An unborn is not a person, only an entity of the mother that is the mother's business only. If she had a drug problem we should try to help her, rehab her, not imprison her. There is nothing to gain by making a tragedy worse by punishing her further when she can begin anew with a little help from a good therapist.

I would think that having mercy upon those who are alive with functioning brains makes more sense than helping vegetables and fetuses. Why shouldn't we show compassion for those who are conscious?
As for the Jews who are killed by Palestinians, well when you are fighting for your survival agaainst an oppressor isn't that at least a little bit understandable? I don't condone terrorism, but how can we expect people who are forced to live in cages not eventually lash out at those who lock them in there?
I think it is sad that the Israelis drive the Palestinians to such behavior. We could do a lot to help by giving them their land back and some hope and real jobs for a real wage. Jews like me who see their plight are ashamed to see the elitest Jews claiming that the land belongs to them because the bible says so.
