Netanyahu seeks to expel religious Jews from Likud

Bibi Netanyahu, the corrupt, phony politician who has no soul and stands for nothing, has already started pandering to the Left since he secured the Likud nomination this past Monday.

Didn't take him long, huh?

Anyhow, he's now seeking to expel Moshe Feiglin and his Jewish Leadership wing of the Likud because they are "too rightwing" and "too Jewish"for his liking. He wants a more "centrist party" that will negotiate with the moslems.

Best of all, this lying sack of crap, who was run out of office on a rail for his many scandals in 1999, is now saying Feiglin is an ex-con who must be removed in a great integrity purge Bibi is claiming to be launching.

And what was his crime, you ask? Well, he was protesting Netanyahu's concession of Hebron to the moslems back when Bibi was PM in 1997. He was consequently convicted of abstruction (or "mutiny") by a leftwing court and sentenced to 6 months in jail.

Unbelievable the chutzpah of this guy.

Newly-elected Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu has initiated a series of steps Wednesday evening in order to prevent Moshe Feiglin, who occupies a far right position in the Likud party, from appearing on the party list.

Netanyahu held a legal meeting with Zvi Cohen, the Likud's Elections Committee Chairman. The two discussed ways to introduce changes to the Likud's constitution which would prevent those with convicted offenses from joining the party and becoming members.

There are doubts over whether Netanyahu can in fact succeed in expelling Feiglin from the movement. He is attempting to pass the following amendment into the party's constitution: "A person who has been convicted of an offense, and sentenced to three months of prison or more, will not be eligible to stand for the Likud party Knesset list."

Netanyahu went out of his way to show that the Likud was a moderate party, saying: "We in the Likud made a peace agreement with Egypt, we supported the peace agreement with Jordan without reservation, and I as prime minister conducted successful negotiations with the Palestinians, signing a number of measured agreements.”

Bragging about his negotiations with Arafat? Trying to expel a guy because he wears a yarmulke and believes the Jews shouldn't concede any land to the moslems? Nice job, Bibi. Start eating more and you'll be indestinguishable from Sharon.

i thought netanyahu was a religious jew? i know he is a good friend to christians. do the religious jews have the stomach for what needs to be done, madze? i'd like to think bibi will not be as concessive (is that a word?) as sharon. either way, i believe what will be will be, doesn't mean we have to like it.

what is this expulsion? is it like the president attaining a new cabinet? just need to be kept abreast of this information.

Wow..
The more you show me the political scene in Israel, the more I understand why they haven't fought the jihadis.
They have a worse mess than we do and with a segmented (at best) or fragmented (at worst)conservative front it seems the ones that keep winning are traitors or the Israeli equivalent of RINOs.

I always assumed Netanyahu was conservative because of the way Clinton snubbed him, and I figured Sharon was the PJB of Israel from the way the left and their jihadi friends hated him with such passion.

I pray the conservatives there rally and unite or Israel is fooyayed.

There is no place in this world for leaders of government to adorn themselves in religious trappings. It is is a must for the Israeli government to remove any Jew who wears a kipah from office, as the Jews must separate faith from state if there is to be peace with the Palestinians.

But you fanatics disagree, much to my unsurprise. The fact is, until you expel religion from the public sector you cannot expect the Muslims to follow the secular example themselves.

When a Sheik sees a Jew wearing a yarmulke he will become even more resolved to preach extremism to his people, so if you want a peace in the Middle East than religion must be totally removed from the equation.

Being the "haves" it is Israel's responsiblity to ban all Jewish symbolism so that the gesture may be appreciated by the Palestinians who are the "have nots".

Or is this too complicated for you zealots? I suspect it is.

Dana you equate a yarmulke with zealotry?
Then may we equate the Arab beard or robe with it as well?
Didnt think so.

You also apparently labor under the delusion that religion and democracy are diametrically opposite.
In reality, Judeo-Christian (NOT muslim or marxist) morality has ensured the perpetuation of democracy in the world while atheist secularism and Islam have invariably extinguished it - EVERY SINGLE TIME (along with countless innocent lives).

Aside from that, you demonstrate just how bigoted the left is insisting that anyone with religious belief be excluded from public office and I would LOVE to see your formula for getting the Muslims to exclude religion from THEIR equation lol.

As for the "haves", tell me why the rest of the Muslim world is shit poor (not just the Arab nazi siege camps disguised as refugee towns) and why the "palestinians" remain so poor and miserable despite the billions that flow into their leaders' pockets.
Tell me how you will convince the leaders of the mideast to share their oil wealth.

The muslim and commie despots that run things over there are the "haves".
They control much of the world's oil and live in palaces with harems of girls (and often boys - as in Yessir Imafag's case) while their populations rot in poverty.

The Jews are the "have nots".
They dont have oil, and their population thrives despite being under a 50yr genocidal siege.
While the jihadis are supported by every commie tyrant and leftwing useful idiot on earth, Israel only has (half of) the US and UK.

The difference is very easy to quantify if your IQ is above that of a treestump.

The Jews have a GOOD morality that ENSURES democracy and prosperity DESPITE adversity, while the Muslims have an EVIL morality that PREVENTS democracy and prosperity and IMPOSES adversity on everyone it touches.

In short, the Jews are civilized and their (our) enemies are barbarians.

Just as they have always been.

danafullofherself - i want to know specifically what you mean by the haves and have nots. clear that up now or you have no credibility. not to imply you had any before, but i'm giving you the benefit of the doubt.

until you start asking legitimate questions or giving legitimate answers, you will not be taken seriously by anyone here. your self-hatred only takes you on the trip you're on - we're just watching you pass by. now i must attend a cocktail party soon. ta-ta!

Taz & RWM, the more you know about Israeli politics the more infuriating it becomes how they talk out of both sides of their mouths. Bibi is one of the worst offenders of this, to be sure.

The system of government there really is flawed because they vote parliamentary style, meaning that no one politician is accountable to the voters like the politicians in America. In Israel, it is the party ticket you vote for, not the candidate, and once in office it's a corrupt free-for-all to stay in power by any means necessary.

In America, the congress and the President are all individually elected and accountable to their constituency, so that if they anger the voters by failing to keep their campaign promises (remember, "Read my lips" from Bush Sr.??) they can't continue floating along in office without ramifications.
