In a stunning example of what is wrong with the American judicial system, ex-USF professor Sami Al-Arian, a founder and ranking official of Palestinian terrorist organization Islamic Jihad, was acquitted by a jury of pathetic dhimmis despite MOUNTAINS of evidence proving his guilt, much to the delight of islamic terrorists and leftwing activists everywhere.
And you thought the OJ trial was bad. Read the repulsive report only if you have a very strong stomach. If there was ever a perfect, shining example of why we must try terrorists in military tribunals instead of civil courtrooms this is it.
Thank you ACLU, you've just help put another murderer back out on the streets.

Jan, I suspect that this was a case won at jury selection, and the truth just needed to be jumbled a bit by the ACLU and company so that the arab friendly audience could say: if the glove don't fit, we must acquit.
in my years working within the criminal justice system on the "right" side of the law, whoever is "supposed" to win wins. i've seen cover-ups, scams, been selected for a jury and had the officers turn around and look at me with thumbs up and say, "we've got a ringer!" even though i did not take part in their nonsense. sometimes it does not pay to be "right". i'm learning that with each and every breath i take. it is an ill world we live in - there is only One cure. hate to be the one to break it to everyone.
Jan, read this, and this. The ACLU is all over this case.
Stunning? I dunno - what else were you expecting, MZ? As Nanc said, things are fixed in advance and who is to say that the President who is busy tightening the ROPe around his nation's neck didn't order the fixing?
Infidel,
Color me confused on your point about this being President Bush's handywork. What are you talking about? Do you really feel he is an islamic terror loving liberal?
Help me out here.
i'm with you madze, unsure of what a.i. means - hope he comes back to clarify. i believe cair and aclu had a hand in this and we know they are close to running this nation. i do not believe bush had his hand in this.
i thought o'reilly would implode last night after announcing this. he may have more reason than ever to watch his back. i pray not.
MZ, Nanc - what I mean is that GWB is guilty of the sin of omission - this was a very important trial - and as Nanc said - a lot of things can be fixed - and as MZ said, there was a mountain of evidence - so what happened?
What are the good guys thinking now (including the ones who try to enforce what pathetic laws there are)? Cynicism and resignation to the sharia state that is coming. And what of the opposite side? A-h-a, the infidels are fools, heads we win, tails we get deported, what's not to like.
Remember, I rooted tirelessly for the guy all the way upto 2004, but now, I endlessly run through this checklist:
Who left Minetta in place?
Who keeps prating about the ROP?
Who (via Condi) forced Israel to open her borders to more whackos?
Who called the minutemen vigilantes for (non-violently) patrolling the US border?
I could go on - but you see my point.
GWB is not a fool - why is he asleep at the wheel - as the truck is approaching the edge of the cliff?
geo is letting me down by the minute also. i'm quite disappointed in him, but not myself for believing in him.
i'm with you jan v - it's difficult to cover an assbite with a simple bandaid - and if light cannot get to a wound it takes longer to heal.
a.i. thank you for expounding. the upsetting thing is we who voted for him and stuck by him are in that vehicle also - as it get's closer to the cliff, we either go over with him or bail. i don't know how much longer. quite perplexing.
Why would Mossad take him out, Kyle? Sharon is probaby recruiting Al-Arian as we speak to join his new Kadima Party, as the two's politics of giving away Jewish Land to the Arabs and emptying the jails of moslem terrorists is virtually identical.
