Koffi's bad to the Bone

Methinks thou doth protest too much, Kofi.

Bone had just said that some of the UN leader's account of events in the oil-for-food scandal "don't really make sense" when Mr Annan interrupted him to say: "I think you're being very cheeky. Listen, James Bone, you have been behaving like an overgrown schoolboy in this room for many, many months and years.

"You are an embarrassment to your colleagues and to your profession. Please stop misbehaving, and please let's move on to a more serious subject."

Bone, who has repeatedly asked UN spokesmen about the Mercedes, walked out of the room. He later said: "I've known Kofi Annan for more than 15 years and his outburst surprised and amused me. I thought he was acting more like a tin-pot dictator than the world's top diplomat. He is, after all, a public official paid with tax-payers' money."

The showdown was the latest in the series of tense encounters between senior UN officials and members of the press.

It came as the UN remained mired in negotiations over budget and management reforms. The head of the UN correspondents' association defended Bone, saying he had a right to ask a question.

Mr Annan agreed that he had had a right, but said that mutual respect was also necessary.

Yeah, that's the ticket. The billion dollar oil-for-food crime should just be dismissed for being "unimportant" and "cheeky". Well done, Kofi.

He could be the next rising star of the DNC.
All he's gotta do is move here and run in a blue state.
He could make the senate easily.

Heck, Kennedy would be down on one knee proposing (or something) and Pelosi would be raving like Hugo Chavez (oh wait..she already does) to protect her job from him.

It might be hard to out-commie Annan but I think she does a fine job of it (God I hate that bug-eyed wacko - she lies on-the-fly better than Clinton).

i saw ron silver on fox yesterday ALMOST defending kofi - what's that all about? kofi is as low as one can go. he is the supreme example of abuse of power. how many people starved to death because of him directly. he may have turned a blind eye, but he knew and in my book silence is agreement. he is a criminal and should be starved to death.

why is the left not as inflamed about this as they are the patriot act? as far as i know the patriot act hasn't killed anyone. don't think clintoonyloon won't do worse.

Are you people serious? Do you really think that Kofi Annan has been bad for the UN and the world? What a clueless bunch of racists you are. Nobody has ever done more for world peace than he has, and when he steps down you'll see that.

What's wrong with you radicals? The fact is, the "oil-for-food" has never been pinned on Koffi. In fact, there is no hard evidence that any wrongdoing was done at all.

Oh, except for Bush lying about the reasons for war.

who said anything about race leftisnitwit? are you baiting us? well, you're doing a very poor job - hence, you are being demoted to leftisnavellint.

you don't even understand the simplest of things. time for nancanalogy: if my children misbehave - it is a reflection on my husband and me. if they lie and steal, people would say their parents must set bad examples.

kofi is guilty because he did not have a grip on his "children". you people have such a hard time accepting blame of any kind.

the u.n. needs to be refurbished or gone - period. kofi needs to suffer his fate - period. if i could i'd shoot him up with some sodium pentathol, ask him some questions while taping the entire procedure. then i'd release it to every news agency in the world. as a matter of fact, that is what nanc would do to every criminal suspect. it is painless and gets at the truth in a hurry and would certainly unclog our court system.

...sorry guys...me just thinking out loud...again...

tazz and kuhnkat - it's not good to hold back like that - it causes ulcers and acid reflux - now, next time, let loose!
