Madzionist's Plight

I sometimes just have to shake my head in disbelief at how many of my tribesman are under the spell of socialism. It gets so frustrating that sometimes I just want to smack them around until their head comes out of their asses. The following two reports make me sick.

Reform condemns Texas gay vote
Poll: Jews closer to blacks, Hispanics on race

Now, let me make one thing perfectly clear: I grew up as a Reform Jew (though now I'm what is usually called Modern Orthodox), my whole family is Reform, most of the Jews I knew growing up were Reform, and I still have many friends who are Reform. That said, the Liberalism in Reform and Conservative Judaism is truly appalling.

As my cousin Bobby has said before: Reform/Conservative Judaism is the Democrat Party platform disguised as religion. Now, before all of my friends and family who are Reform/Conservative Jews jump up and throw a tantrum, just think about it a little, OK? I love you guys, but you know I'm right.

oooooh, madze - that would be like me telling my mostly catholic family to put the second commandment back into the ten commandments, give up the pope, and i'll think about coming to mass! if you live anywhere them, you may wish to spend sabbath alone.

Nanc, suggesting Catholics are idol worshipers is going to elicit some angry responses I'm guessing...can't wait to read them!

Regarding Shabbos (Sabbath sounds so not Jewish), keeping it is one of the major differences between liberal and traditional Judaism. Most liberal Jews don't.

BTW, my less religious friends and family are great, and I am not trying to push any of them to be more observant. It's just the damned socialism that I am trying to beat out of the secular Jewish community that riles me up.

well then - they need to read their catechism regarding the ten c's before making any complaints to me - after all i did not change it at the nicene council. a man did. men are fallible - G-d is not. my Lord and Saviour kept over 1,700 shabbos in His lifetime and in the hereafter we will keep shabbos - He is a jew, you know...

today is veteran's day. someone, somewhere in the world is enjoying freedom because of the u.s. military. i would like to take a moment to thank each and every military person, past and present, for the freedoms i and you take for granted on a daily basis. you are in my prayers today and always.

if you have a chance today, tune into radio stations which are doing all day tributes to our military and listen to the stories of these brave men and women who sacrifice their well being to ensure ours.

G-d bless our people in uniform.

nanc, To say that Catholics are less Christian than you is just ridiculous. You know nothing at all about this and saying what you are to insult others proves it.

nanc said...

i am not saying i am more Christian than anyone - that is a personal thing, but i know why we no longer keep sabbath - do you? i know the catholics removed the second commandment, changed the fourth and split the tenth. if i were a better Christian i would keep sabbath. go check out a catechism and see if your hind end isn't talking crap behind your back!

your obscurity is only shadowed by the nebulousness of your statement.

it's about absolute truth kuhnkat. people, in general want to believe that what is good for you is not necessarily good for me. they do not want to call abortion by its proper name so they gave it a frilly name "pro-choice". excuse me but what on earth does it have to do with anything but killing an unborn child? call it what it is "pro-baby murdering". we all used to be embryonic stem cells - look at us now! truth is not as you see it - truth is as it is. so simple, yet so many cannot see it.

it is so good to see you here.

nanc try not to use your family (who you apparently have disagreement with) as a stereotype for Catholics, and study the doctrine and Church history more closely. The archives are vast and the best source of instruction on it all are the Franciscans.
They can answer most anything.

Our doctrine was passed directly from Christ to the apostles onward.
It consisted of His various confirmations and amendments of Judaism.
It was over 3 centuries old when the Bible was finalized and it was used to determine what was included and excluded. If it didnt jive with the Hebrew bible + some other phophets' books (compiled to be the OT) it wasnt included in the NT.
Agree or disagree with it, but bear in mind that doctrinal disagreement is trivial in the larger scheme of things.
All that matters for civilization is that the basic tenets arent discarded.
If that common ground is lost over sectarian squabbling, we are easy meat for the feudalists and Gommorahns.

There are neocatholicons like me, there are "union catholics" that put their inflated pay and subsidies ahead of their principles (which got Blanco elected), there are heretical Catholics that misrepresent our doctrine (like the ones in the US that abused Vatican II in the same way the DNC abuses the 1st amendment) and there are totally false catholics like Kennedy, Pelosi, and Kerry.

Most of us are the former though - thus allies of the right.
When you look at the erring "Catholics" across the aisle, remember that just like their so-called "protestant" compadres, they are outnumbered by a (decreasingly) quieter majority.

Control your punches bro.
When you swing wild you end up hitting friends.
You know my stances on things, and I am not a rare exception.

Most Jews are leftists because they associate socialism with the coming of the Messiah and a time of perfection in the world. At this time "Education", the secular answer to every problem, will teach people to be good.

rwm - first, i am a woman. two, i do not swing wild. if you read my post closer, you will see that i specifically said i would be a better Christian if i followed all ten commandments. i believe in "sola scriptura" that is scripture alone. it was written specifically to me. i do not need a person to tell me what to think. i have read the bible through with the exception of proverbs on a number of occasions.

i am nearly 50 and have never said i believe i know it all, but i do however have a firm grasp on what i do know. having grown up in an irish catholic family, it is my belief that catholics also do not have all the answers.

Jesus said, "I Am the way, the truth and the life, no one (NO ONE) comes to the Father but by Me." He is my mediator, no man or woman. although our family attends a southern baptist church, we are neither indoctrinated into, nor have we been baptized into that denom - we merely enjoy the fellowship of other Spirit filled believers. we are people of faith, because it is faith alone by which we are saved. it is our sincere belief that there are bought and paid for and saved people in every denomination. this does not include cults.

religion is the work of man and like patent leather, wears out. faith abides. i pray you will see my point of view and hope that we can agree to disagree.

i will pull punches when i see the need, but if you wish to debate the bible in a courteous manner, i am a great bet. the bible is my favorite subject in life and i'm not above learning some new aspect of it. old testament my favorite.

morning kev - it's about being a humanitarian as far as i can gather. the peace thing is a big deal to jews and making concessions where none should be made. bless their hearts, giving up, giving in, giving over - sounds great on paper, but they want a better world as we all do.

have you ever taken the test to see where you actually stand politically? you can take it here:

http://www.politicalcompass.org/

i was almost right on center - i won't say where unless you do!

have a good day kev.

nanc said...

ughhhh 4 me i was two points left of center - i attribute it to my humanitarianism and tenderheart, so now i think i will go kick a cat or puppy and go take the test again.

i believe the major difference between left and right is how much ability the right has to accept correction when confronted with truth. we can be humbled and they cannot - you might say it is impossible to humble a loudmouthed anti-this, pro-that lefty.

personally, i think the test is flawed...ha-ha!!! please do not hold my results against me.

I just took the test. I found it to be a bit flawed as they asked questions of absolute nature with ony agree or disagree answers. That said, I scored 5 points to the right. Thanks for that link, nanc!
