On the 1 year anniversary of Arafat's death, we see how well the "peace process" has gone since his demise. If Sharon thought it was Arafat alone who prevented peace with the 'Palestinians', and that his new best friend, Mahmoud Abbas, was a peace loving man to work together with, why are things only getting worse?

Have all the fascists here forgotten that the Plaestinians have rights, too? The Israelis kicked them out of their homes and into dirty refugee camps, but you still think that Israel should "mow them down".
I think the Palestinians have every right to have their guns pointed at Israel, and if there is any justice the Israelis will realize that, as well. Maybe stopping occupation and letting them return to their homes would be a good start.

That would be the day the MSM were to do an article on the issue, but they view the subject as too one sided or unbalanced or whatever.
However, they will do endless articles about alleged unfair treatment of Palestinians by Israel because the sacred right of dissent trumps reality and the rights of Jews to live in peace.

I'm still hoping that Sharon did what he did in order to protect Israelis easier and to give the jihadis enough rope to hang themselves.
The rise of Hamas since Arafat's death and the way they openly display their intractability is what he needs to bolster international support and to justify a serious and decisive military response.
I am obviously being very hopeful, but only because I find it hard to believe that appeasement is Sharon's ultimate aim.
