MZ's favorite weblog (besides his own, of course) sadly announced it was closing up shop today. Moonbat Central had been a staple of my reading diet for the past 6 months or so, and seeing it go is most disappointing.
An offshoot of David Horowitz's brilliant twin leftist-bashing websites, DiscoverTheNetworks and FrontpageMag, MBC was staffed by the finest weblog hosts I've ever had the pleasure of reading. They also attracted some of the best commentators to argue through the daily news events the staff would select for discussion.
All of this will be missed by yours truly, though I hope to see some of my friends from there wander over here to add their two cents from time to time.

So, Moonbat Central is gone. You rightwingnuts will just have to understand the truth: You are NOT worthy! I suspect this website will surely find its way to the toilet soon enough, as well.

I know, Michael. It was a great site. We'll have to keep fighting the good fight, though, and I'm doing my best to keep my part of the bargain. Perhaps now that I'll have more time to devote to this site I will expand things a bit.

I was pretty stunned to see MBC get torn down...Did any of you see any signs of this coming?
My thinking is that MBC's demise had more to do with money and the blog drawing viewership away from Frontpagemag. I could be wrong, but my guess is the blog outgrew its welcome.

I was busy for a couple days and missed the MBC funeral so I didnt get to comment before it was closed.
I sure will miss it.
Anyhow, I'll still be hangin with the crew (as long as you guys can tolerate my occasional bloodthirstyness heehee).
