Andrea Yates, the mother who in 2002 systematically drowned her five children to death, had her conviction for capital murder thrown out because testimony regarding an episode of TV's Law & Order was incorrect. Undoubtedly, leftists everywhere are jumping for joy today, as this cold-blooded child killer will now be getting a knew trial that could very well allow Yates to receive therapy rather than any hard time in prison.
In fact, if all goes well for Yates, a nice liberal feminist therapist will eventually deem Yates to be rehabilitated and let her walk free altogether. She then could do the talk show circuit, sign a book deal, and maybe even speak at the next Democrat National Convention.
This is exactly why the death penalty is an absolute must. If a murderer is kept alive and well in prison there stands the very real possibility that some leftwing lawyer will find some leftwing judge to throw out the case on a technicality, allowing the dangerous killer to once again roam the streets of society. God willing, Alito and Roberts will set the Supreme Court straight again, and help repair the damage to society the liberal courts have been inflicting over the last several years.

You should be ashamed of yourself. This poor woman had real mental problems and suffered from terrible depression. It didn't help that her chauvenistic husband was unsupportive of her emotionally, either.
Now she'll have to live with this terrible act for the rest of her life, and rather than try understanding her and what she must be going through you just call for her execution. You need to lose the "mad" and become a human being.

Getsit, I noticed you are quite willing to blame every person ever born for the actions of Yates save one: Yates herself. Why is that? Do you feel like you can identify better with the murderer of 5 children than you can the slain children themselves? Or their father, for that matter?
Progressives are so quick to defend murderers and criminals, yet are so unfeeling towards the victims of crime. This is why liberalism is considered a mental disorder by so many.
I think you need to get some help.

all i can think about regarding andrea yates is her last child, who she chased throughout her house because the child knew what was going to happen and she tackled that child down and killed him anyway - an eight year old.
being a mother, i have had some moments in my life where removing myself from a situation and counting to ten did wonders. this woman had no natural affection. mentally ill - yeah, she probably never should have been left alone with a child. her husband, who should have seen the signs is equally responsible.
i do not, however, buy into her defense - she needs to be drowned as she drowned her children. people who forget their children in a car that gets up to 180 degrees - oops! - need to face a similar fate. people who beat their children to death need to be beaten to death. there is no place in society for anyone who would harm an innocent, young or old.
do not buy into their "mental" incapacity - they need to be removed from existence - so they may never ever again do harm to another. i cannot be swayed on this so do not even point any derogatory remarks my way.
accidents are accidents - forgetfulness where children are concerned is unforgiveable. too many bleeding hearts out there for the perpetrators - who has a bleeding heart for the innocents.
Yates is a monster and should NOT be breathing.
She should have been publicly executed for the horror she committed.

if let loose, she should never be able to bear children again. never, never, never - she should be forcibly sterilized if she is not already. i don't believe she will last long on the streets.

that is not necessarily true anonymous. we are also told to turn the other cheek. in matters such as this we have an imperfect judicial system to take care of these matters. it does not always reflect on how the majority feels. being human, i will take as much as i can take until backed into a corner - then watch out.
i have worked with criminals and i can tell you about some hardcore sorts - give me a bank robber, doper or petty thief over someone who does harm to an innocent - i have had to hold myself back on a number of occasions with these lowlife pond scum. there is no place on G-d's earth for them, so they should be taken out for G-d to deal with. what we do here is temporary - what is done in the hereafter is forever.
i have no restraint when it comes to harming children - not now - not ever. having worked in the criminal justice system - i have seen babies that were thrown against walls and ceilings until just a small heap of pudding. social services was involved in keeping these families together prior to these travesties. tell me how a thirty or forty pound child can defend itself against someone over 120 pounds? i am becoming angrier by the minute thinking this woman will go free to breed again.
