This from Debkafile news:
The protests came from the top levels of Israel’s armed forces, the Shin Beit and all other intelligence services and the police. Rarely before have so many expressions of alarm been rushed to the head of government by all of top security agencies.
By this extreme step -
1. Each of the branches submitted separate warnings to prime minister Ariel Sharon and defense minister Shaul Mofaz. They were alerted to the grave hazards in store when the crossings are reopened later this month and the rest of the accord goes into effect, shorn as they have been of appropriate security controls.
2. Each branch placed its reservations in writing to clearly record where responsibility lies for the worst possible contingencies.

do i smell a coup? i'm sure it is some jew's fault somewhere - i must go set my timer and heat a cornbread muffin which i baked the other day in light of the jordan bombings. one must always be ready for these things.
Actually, nanc, this is what we call a self-inflicted wound. Sharon has been doing his best impression of oldtime leftwing leader Shimon Peres, and hopefully his career will crumble just like the fallen Labor leader's did in last week's Labor primaries.

i agree madze, but i cannot help shake the feeling there is a piece to this picture which is missing. the entire "peace" process i feel is a prelude to something much larger than even you or i can imagine. honest to G-d i do not like conspiracy theories, but something is up and i await the other shoe dropping. it is much more than "woman's" intuition. i would like netanyahu back in the picture. i know he would never give jerusalem to the palis. of course i am not israeli and have no say in the matter. just thinking and hoping out loud.
Maybe if Israel would quit being so cruel to Palestineans there would have been peace by now. How can anyone defend keeping millions of Palestinians under Israeli occupation? Jihad is how people react when treated like dogs by Zionist extremists.
Where do these trolls come from? OK, Kahlme, one simple question: What in the hell are you talking about?

Nothing against Israel, but Kahlme has a point. How much of the world's terrorism would vanish if Israel would just give back the Land they took in 1967? And yes, that includes East Jerusalem. In addition, why would Israel deny displaced Palestinians the right to return to their homes?
The world shouldn't endorse terrorism by any means, but Israel must be pressured to give the Palestinians their dignity back.
dignity - dignity - the israelis were the only reason the palis had ANY dignity whatsoever. it has never been the palis employing the israelis. you are one messed up mess, getsit/kahlme - how many more personalities do you have?
How many times has Israel offered to give back the 67 lands and have the Arabs and Palestinians refuse?
They dont want the land unless they can have Israel too.
The Jews didnt expell the Arabs from these lands because they wanted to use them to negotiate a settlement with the Arab world. Israel offered to return the land in exchange for peace. They were denied...
That is painfully obvious KuhnKat. Please tell the world!!!!!
