The eviction notices set to be delivered to the settlers state that they must clear the market by January 15, or be subjected to a forceful evacuation by mid-February. IDF and police forces are set to accompany the Civil Administration officials, as settler resistance is expected.
“We believe this act is both immoral and illegal, as we are the legal inheritors of the property of the Jewish community in Hebron” [Jewish Hebron spokesman] Noam Arnon told Ynet.
“We received all of the rights from the owners. We agreed to a process in which we would lease the homes from the State, in the hope that this would bring a peaceful resolution to the matter; but they are proceeding with a move aimed at expelling Jews from the place. We will not comply with the eviction notices.”
The decision to hand out the eviction notices is in accordance with Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz’s order to clear the settlers from the area.
Seems that Jews are beginning to have it worse now than before Israel became a state. At least then they were permitted to live as persecuted dhimmis to the moslems rather than being completely cleansed from their land as they are now by the Israeli government.

if anyone has not read "israel, the blessing or the curse" by bill koenig and john ternan (sp), you should do so ASAP. another by bill koenig is "eye to eye". he is a white house correspondent and reports on the implications of dividing the Holy Land. he is spot on.
think people! katrina, landslides and flooding in california, texas and oklahoma on fire, drought in the midsection of the u.s. dividing the land of israel is a mistake for any who have a hand in it, or for those who remain aloof.
i do not know how spiritual all of you are, but i know our family is blessed beyond measure and can hardly contain those blessings because we pray sometimes several times a day for israel and ALL which is israel.

kuhnkat - we will be judged by G-d by how we treated israel and i and my family believe that to the very heart of our souls. our children have prayed for israel for as long as they can remember. when our son saw his first holocaust-type movie, with actual photos and footage, he was about eight. he then became furious and passionate over israel. our daughter is much more refined in her anger, she buys or borrows everything she can find regarding children at that horrible time. i, as well, learned at an early age.
children can handle much more than we give them credit and the earlier we can teach them compassion, the better people they will become.
Personally I am convinced that concessions are necessary (and I dont want to argue the point either, I'm not going to swayed).
What interests me is that the PA has a policy that could possibly be defined as genocide since they do not tolerate any Jews living in territories under their control.
It is bigotry at best.

I see it as no coincidence that all the tyrants and socialist yellowbellies of the world are aligned against Israel while the best of the free nations (US, UK, AU) and their Christian populations support her.
Evil knows its enemies, and while Israel and the Vatican tops their "feared" list, the fundies and some other Protestants - who make up the majority of the populations in the US, UK, and AU -are a close 3rd.
That said, the halves of our populations that are against Israel may cost us dearly if we dont reign them in and break their hold on education.

I'd much rather talk about how hypocritical the Palestinians are with their commitment to genocide and bigotry.
The fact is that the world is full of people who are extreme reverse racists (or bigots). Bigotry against whites and Jews is almost unquestioned among non-whites and gentiles.
If Europe had its own oil reserves then they would have the guts to say something about it.
