Alito not filibustered

Alito is all but confirmed. The senate has voted to not filibuster and now we are just awaiting the formality of the vote. Kennedy, Kerry, and other communists in the Democrat party tried to rally a cabal of leftists to filibuster Alito, but, ultimately, only managed to score 25 votes for their cause.

Pardon me while I say, BA-HA-HA!! WE WIN!!

Now, let's take a looong hard look at affirmative action, shall we? Can you say, buh-bye reverse discrimination? Oh, what about partial birth abortion, you ask? Yeah, it's about to be illegal. Um, euthanasia? Not bloody likely. Death penalty? Under God? It's all good. Gay marriage? Sorry pretty boys and butchy girls, but soon those marriage certificates you got won't be worth the paper they were written on.

Yes, it is good news indeed.

Chief Justice John G. Roberts: Catholic

Stephen G. Breyer: Raised a sporadically observant Jew; married in an Anglican ceremony from which all references to Christ had expurgated.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg: Jewish

Clarence Thomas: Catholic

David Souter: Episcopalian

Anthony Kennedy: Catholic

Antonin Scalia: Catholic

John Paul Stevens: "Protestant"

Samuel Alito: Catholic

Oh I think we can do better then just partial birth abortions being outlawed. We demand Roe verses Wade be re-addressed and at the very least abortion decisions be kicked back to the states where these decisions never should have left.

The Catholics on this court should be refused communion if they vote any other way.

This should not have been a shock and the far left grows more hysterical every day

MZ: I dunno - ban Affirmative Action, Abortion and G-y marriage? I doubt that Alito is that strongminded. In fact, having been burned by many false hopes before, I would not be surprised to see Alito trying to prove his neutrality by leaning to the Left ...

I guess I would be the only person in these comments to be sad if Roe vs Wade was reversed, but regardless....

Congrats to all. Alito was sworn in despite the smear tactics of the desperate Left.

Drinks are on the house!!!

I hope Alito will remember who made his wife cry during the committee hearings. May he really sock it to them.

Very happy to see Alito in and O'Connor out. RWM, I agree that there needs to be further restrictions to Roe than just banning PBA, but that one is the most heinous of all so I put it first on my priority list.
