Jew beaten to death in France

A Jew is abducted, tortured and murdered in France. Hmmm...So, who thinks it could maybe, possibly, perhaps, somehow be, oh, I don't know, the work of moslems? Oh, wait a minute, it could have been liberals, too. I forget sometimes that they want to exterminate the Jews almost as badly as the moslems do.

Check this out from Ynet:

The French police arrested 13 people on suspicion of kidnapping, torturing and murdering Ilan Halimi, a 23-year-old Parisian Jew.

Halimi was found on Monday tied to a tree, naked and wounded, with burns covering all parts of his body. He died on the way to the hospital.

Police officials said that the abduction and murder were apparently not motivated by anti-Semitism, but added that they have not yet discovered what led the group to commit the acts.

The affair, which stunned France's Jewish community, began about a month ago, when a good-looking young woman entered a cellular phone store in Paris, where Halimi worked, and began talking to him.

The two exchanged telephone numbers, and after speaking on the phone a number of times, set a meeting in a suburb south of Paris. Halimi left for the meeting on January 20, and has been missing ever since.

My, how quickly the French manage to rule out anti-Semitism, huh? Actually, I'm inclined to think it could be the work of Ehud Olmert. The only problem is it wasn't a child clinging to his mother's ankle that was beaten beyond recognition, so it is missing that classic Olmert flair.

Update!

This just in from Ynet:

New developments in shocking murder: Anti-Semitism may have played a role in the torture and murder of a young Jewish man who was kidnapped and held for ransom, French authorities said Monday.

A shock! Jew-hating may be involved in the murder of a Jew in the anti-Semitic capital of Europe? Whoa...

Soon France and Europe will be free of all the troublesome Jews.
IF we follow historical trends, places that have lost their Jews have not done well economically.
I guess will it soon be time to short the Euro and maybe the Paris Stock Market.

Jan, you are forgiven - and you are correct, too.

Bob, the French are losing Jews at record numbers already, but it is still just a comparative trickle. The real movement en masse is still a ways off...more secular Jews need to be afraid of getting killed despite publicly renouncing Judaism before the real big exodus takes place.

Hope they all go to Judea when they leave.

Hey, just clarifying, Nanc. Nice to know Gasket is getting a reason to smile still after all these years. Though, I must admit, it is a bit disturbing what you use as material to get in the mood for making your hubby's day.

BTW, Feb 16th was happy 39th B-Day to the Madman. Martinis and cold beer were enjoyed for the occasion...plus, of course, some good times and special moments with Mrs. Z.

okay, here's one for ya:

baby z says, "daddy, how old are you?"

daddy z says, "39 and holding!"

baby z says, "daddy z, how hold would you be if you let go?"

nanc will be fifty this year - yippee! which reminds me of a story. a friend of mine, whose mother while in her seventies came and took us out to lunch - i was barely 30 and she (my friend) was nearly 40. the mother told us how each decade just gets better and elaborated tmi and then grabbed each of our hands across the table and said something i shall never forget to this day, "now girls, you must use that thing or it will grow shut!" honest to G-d!

glad you had a great day.

JB, thanks...I did enjoy the booze et. al.

Hope all is well with you and the baby, BTW. Things should be getting fun right about now as you see conciousness creeping in and the newborn turning into a real person. What, about 3 months now?

j.b. - make him his own cupboard in the kitchen - fill it with all large plastic kitchen articles and some of his own toys; tell him that's his special place - it works and chances are when he gets a little older, when you're playing hide and go seek - that's where you'll find him! chances are the clue will be ALL the tupperware outside the cupboard doors - act surprised. oh, yeah, and the clothes dryer - that was always a favorite hiding spot - sometimes it's fun to not find them for a half-hour or so! that gives extra mama and papa time...

it's actually funny if they get in the dryer with a load of - let's say towels - and then just tap the on button and quickly open the door so they have about a quarter tumble - talk about funny! it was the only way we could get our son to quit hiding in the dryer - he's 14 1/2 now and has a great aversion to dryers so we hang the clothes when the weather permits - lol! like my husband always says, "these (the children) are the best toys i ever had!" he doesn't know it, but they say the same thing about him...
