George W. Bush is dead wrong

After reviewing all of the news and information about the upcoming transfer of America's security for the 5 major US ports of entry to a company owned by the United Arab Emerates, a full-blown terrorist moslem nation, I have concluded that George W. Bush is dead wrong and is placing our country's national security in serious jeopardy.

Both Republicans and Democrats alike have, for one of the very few times in recent memory, come together in outrage over this irresponsible decision by Bush. I honestly wish I could give the benefit of the doubt to W, but this time there is absolutely no justification for his actions. I am not sure if he is motivated by cronyism, bad advisors, corruption, or just terrible judgment, but, whatever the reason, it is a move that would likely get whole lot of American civilians killed and I will not stand by him for one minute if this goes into effect.

Let me put it bluntly: If Bush goes through with this, and allows the plan for the UAE terrorists to oversee our border security, then there should be a full Senate investigation into Bush's actions and impeachment hearings brought forward for his role in deliberately putting the people of America at risk for a major terrorist attack.

My support for W ends the minute he stops making America's security priority number one.

Either GWB withdraws this deal with the devil RIGHT NOW or he should be thrown out of office and imprisoned for high treason. No compromises, no excuses, period.

I agree bush has periodic spells of insanity. Note the Miers nomination and his appointment of Condeleeza Rice. He seems to be backing up and I think all will end well. If not, let's hope the country escapes a nuclear bomb before the situation is fixed.

george w. bush is a united methodist. united methodists are leaning towards replacement theology, which in essence means they are buying into the logic israel (abraham's seed) are no longer chosen in G-d's eye. this is errant teaching and although many united methodists do not know any more than their ministers tell them an hour per week and since they will not crack the gold binding on their bibles, will never know the difference. they are as sheep being led to the slaughter.

condi rice grew up in a pcusa (google that) as her father was a pastor of one of their westminster churches (wikipedia that). now google ncc (national council of churches) and wcc (world council of churches). they are all about divestment from israel - these churches are NOT your friends.

honest to G-d people, we appear to be living in the end of days - i am only a student, not a teacher. see my comments to rwm on the next article down.

if i had more time, i would do a dissertation, but i must get some rest - old people have to do that once in awhile!

Nanc, I think the alliance between Christian Zionists and Orthodox Zionists is in its infancy still, but it is growing BIG TIME. Our reproduction rates are huge, our mission is rightous, and our success is inevitable. I believe we will be the future of both America and Israel.

GWB is apparently out to lunch. His United Methodism is somewhat divestment from Israel friendly isn't it?

How he can be so laissez-faire on border security is beyond me. Why not just make Iran in charge of the Coast Guard?

He will pay for this. His own constituency is VERY pissed off right now, and his threat to veto any congressional bill to stop this deal shows he just doesn't get it. BTW, there are plenty of votes to successfully override a veto.

Jan, with all do respect, what have you been smoking? We could lose a valuable ally in the UAE?? ARE YOU KIDDING?? They were allies of the Taliban, helped save Bin Laden's ass, have funded terrorism around the world and aided and abetted the 9/11 terrorists. They are the scum of the earth and do NOT deserve the right to run our major ports.

Were you taken over by Dana, Jan???

although the united methodism is not quite divestment from israel - i believe once you believe as they do, that is the next step.

my husband and i were talking about some of this over our long weekend and have been scratching our heads over many issues coming to head lately. i told him i see bush out of the picture, either by resignation or otherwise (ill health, etc.). of course, cheney will then take over and condi will be v.p. we know cheney is not 100% well - so who will be our next president before elections? you guessed it. stranger things have happened. we cannot figure out why bush has done some of the things he's been doing.

my husband and several others from the age of 40 to 60+ voted for the very first time for bush - what gives? i have some theories, but they are just that. i'd rather say i told you so than shame on me for thinking that way. i'm wondering who bush is representing these days - the left hates him and his own party is having massive doubts about him. who can he please before long? time will tell - sometimes it is better to watch something unfold than try and change it.

this is like the harriet miers nomination - i'm reserving judgment until i see evidence and i was right about her. wait awhile before allowing this to make you crazy. remember, change the things you have control over. i'd much rather make 10 tiny differences in a day than fail at one large attempt. of course none of us appreciates failure.

one thing for sure - we'd DEFINITELY know WHICH ports to keep our eyes on - ;} - well, of course if we were profiling kind of people - :] - and i'm not saying we do profile certain types of people who are prone to terrorism - ;[ - but we would know where to expend MOST of our energies if we had to - ;)

not absolutely sure, but i think nebraska is the ONLY state in the u.s. where you cannot attain property without being a u.s. citizen...something worth checking out - although if any of you have ever been to nebraska, you'd know why - anybody would be crazy to want land there, with all due respect to our nebraska friends.
