Bush Nominates Miers for High Court

Well, what do we think, gang? My early impression of Bush's choice for the Supreme Court vacancy is "blecchhh". In addition to being 60yrs old but looking 81, Mz. Miers has very little on her resume to justify her nomination to the High Court bench. She has never been a judge, has not argued cases before the Supreme Court, had been championed as a nominee to President Bush by radical leftist leader, Harry Reid, and, worst of all, donated money to the presidential campaign of Al Gore back in '87 and the DNC in '88.

To me, it seems like Bush sold out his base in an effort to get a pat on the back from his liberal opponents in the Democrat Party. Apparently, I'm not alone in my opinion.

Said Bill Krystal on Fox News: "It looks like he flinched. It looks like a capitulation."

Look, the reason Bush was elected is that he got a huge turnout from social conservatives who did not want a leftist Supreme Court to legislate the Democrat Party's agenda from the bench. Well, it appears that the worst fears have been realized, as Bush appears to have nominated a candidate more like Souter than Scalia.

John Roberts was considered a fabulous choice by almost everybody because of his brilliance, his incredible success as an attorney arguing before the Supreme Court, and his solid Rhendquist pedigree of conservative ideology. Even the Dems were impressed by the guy, accept for extreme leftists like Biden, Boxer, Kennedy, Kerry, et.al.

But what gives with this hag?

Not qualified, not conservative, and not a good pick, Georgey boy. You really blew it.

Bush is a sell-out. Horrible pick, and one which will have him forever scarred in the eyes of conservatives.
